Leesa is the owner of Iscariot Media Pty Ltd, an Aboriginal creative agency specialising in web and graphic design. She has been involved in South East Queensland community organisations and in micro-business since the mid-1990s. Leesa brings a broad range of knowledge and skills from a range of areas including academia, education and social media.

 

Roma Pregarc

Roma Pregarc

FAMILY:  Roma Pregarc is a traditional owner from South East Queensland with strong connections to Yuggera/Ugarapul/Jagera, Turrbal, and Wangeriburra/Mununjali/Kombumerri/Gugungin.  She actively works to achieve positive social and economic change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

BUSINESS:  She is the founder/sole director of Scope Solutions.   Her qualifications and experience encompass nearly four decades in management, governance, tourism, hospitality, events, and Aboriginal art and craft.  She is a consultant for various community, business, educational and government organisations, as well as a Justice of the Peace.

ACADEMIC:  She is a University Tutor, Guest Lecturer and Elder in Residence for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health course, and also delivers Management and Leadership courses at various Universities and Primary Schools.

Nancy Bamaga

Nancy Bamaga

Nancy is a Torres Strait Islander woman with extensive knowledge and experience in Indigenous community cultural development, and the retailing of Indigenous art and craft. She has been involved in the arts industry since 1992, promoting arts industry development in Queensland. Nancy is committed to empowering Indigenous artists and enabling them to access opportunities. Nancy is the founder and Director of Bamaga Productions working with governments, business and the community sector to deliver a wide range of cultural events.

Kieran Shirey

Kieran Shirey

Kieran Shirey is a Koori from the Biripi nation. He has been involved in the Infrastructure Asset Management industry since 2003. He is the managing director of LOGiT Australia, proving software and advisory services for asset intensive organisations to improve productivity and decision making capacity. He is a Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) for the international standard ISO 55001 and graduate of the MURRA Indigenous business master class program (Gen 8).

Charlie Jia

Charlie Jia was the founding president of the SEQICC in 2006. He has been actively involved in Indigenous business sector development for over two decades. Charlie is co-founder of CJ’s Island Pizza on Stradbroke Island and Karma Lifestyles a business consultancy firm. Kathryn Potter

Kathryn Potter is a Kamilaroi woman entering her 6th year in business as the Managing Director of Physiotherapy Innovations Pty Ltd commercialising the product Therabubble.   As an experienced Physiotherapist, who has worked in the public health service for 16 years, Kathryn was well positioned to co-design Therabubble, a respiratory medical device used by Physiotherapists to help patients clear their lungs and improve ventilation. 

Kathryn has successfully scaled the business from a small partnership operation to the proprietary limited company that continues to expand its international presence today.  Therabubble has already been a game changer for hospital and health services across Australia and New Zealand and with international patents, Physiotherapy Innovations will continue to export further afield in 2020.  Physiotherapy Innovations is proudly Supply Nation Registered.

Whilst expanding the business Kathryn sits on multiple boards and committees advocating for Indigenous health and Indigenous economic development.  Namely the Logan Hospital Close the Gap Committee, The Australian Physiotherapy Association Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Committee, The Central Queensland University Physiotherapy Course Reference Committee and is a member of The Australian and New Zealand Indigenous Women in Business Leadership Group.  Kathryn is also both a mentor and mentee with Indigenous Business Australia – Strong Women, Strong Business and Indigenous Allied Health Australia

Kathryn enjoys working from multiple platforms to help people and to give back to the Indigenous community wherever possible.  Her work was recently recognised when awarded from the Queensland branch of the Australian Physiotherapy Association for her contribution to Indigenous Health in 2018.  Furthermore, her business won a major category award for Community Contribution in 2019 at the Logan Business Distinction Awards.  Kathryn is the regional coordinator for Logan Black Coffee and looks forward to meeting members at the different Black Coffee events.

Karen Seage is a Nunagal, Quandamooka women from Minjerribah North Stradbroke Island. At 26 Karen earned a degree in graphic design and has worked in the print industry since. Karen is the franchise owner of Snap Underwood specialising not just digital print work, but also Indigenous graphic design and web design.

Murray is the founder and Managing Director of Tagai Management Consultants. Tagai MC is a dynamic management consultancy company with intimate knowledge of Supply Chain and Procurement processes, Change Management, Community Development and Stakeholder Engagement practices focused on improving our clients profitability, growth and overall sustainability within Australia and the Asia/Pacific region.

Murray has worked for over 20 years within strategic and operational roles within the public and private sector.
